Ateme is a rapidly growing company, with a team of more than 500 people and an annual growth rate of 20% over the last 9 years. We are now seeking a technically skilled Pre-Sales Manager with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to travel to customer sites frequently.
As part of an EMEA initiative, we are dedicating two key global customers (a global ISP/mobile provider and a global media entertainment company) to a Sales and Pre-Sales team. The candidate will be responsible for managing all pre-sales activities for these two accounts and leading technical discussions for our entire product portfolio. They will work closely with the EMEA North team, including the Account Manager and internal experts, to ensure smooth sales proposals and find the right solutions for the customer.
The position can be located near a major airport, with preferred locations including Germany (Munich or Frankfurt), Portugal (Lisbon), and the UK (London). If the candidate has less experience, other locations such as Southampton, Velizy, and NL may be considered. The candidate will report to the Director of Operations for EMEA North.
You mission is to ensure the Account Manager has no obstacles in his business proposals which means finding the right architecture, bill of material, risks, R&D developments that need to be tracked, etc. It will include evangelizing the Ateme product to the customer, explaining our value proposition and doing technical demo’s.
You are the SPOC for the customer on technical questions for to-be-closed business. You will write the full scope of work that includes all details of a given project. Once closed this is handed over to our Project & Support department, testing the solutions are part of it.
The following responsibilities are part of the role:
· Providing product demonstrations after internal training
· Managing the customer relationship and all stakeholders involved in the engagement
· Proactively identifying opportunities to increase business with the customer.
· Negotiating on Feature Requests and providing technical details to the Product Owner
· Writing Scope of Works to ensure a smooth handover to Projects
· Designing OTT systems with the Global Solution Architects team
· Running Proof of Concepts with a dedicated team
· Staging and Testing of the proposed solution

Required skills
This person will have responsibility to manage the communication channels between various Customer operating companies’ departments, and our various internal departments such as GSA, Marketing, Product, R&D.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, technology, commerce, management, engineering, engineering or related (project) management technical fields. English should be spoken fluently, and if not then you have to be convincing enough to handle it with limited capacity but compensate with self-confidence. You should be good at saying things with the least amount of ambiguity. You are enthusiastic and motivated, and have at least 70% of the following:
1. Familiarity with similar products
2. Experience managing large enterprise clients
3. Industry network
4. Technical background in video streaming (Traditional DVB, OTT, CDN or Cloud VOD)
5. Experience managing multiple stakeholders on various projects or engagements
6. Technical background in Broadcast/IT/Media
7. Ability to persuade stakeholders to reach agreement on final setup
8. Ability to match technical engagement with business value
9. Ability to help Sales create long-term strategies for key clients
10. Proficiency in Salesforce, Jira, Microsoft Office, and Confluence
11. Experience building strong customer relationships
12. Ability to manage customer expectations and lead them to success
13. Proactive in identifying growth opportunities.
For this job it is expected for the candidate to travel (short trips of 1-2 night(s), but aim for 3 trips a month when deemed necessary and we manage with the customer)
